SURRENDER IS NOT JUST A WORD. SURRENDER IS MORE THAN JUST “STOP TRAINING”. IT’S A DECISION. SURRENDER IS THE MOMENT WHEN YOU SAY “I GIVE UP,” AND IT’S THE MOMENT WHEN YOU DECIDE TO STOP FIGHTING YOUR PHYSICAL LIMITS AND START LOWERING THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE.
WE HAVE BEEN THERE TOO—EXPERIENCING PAIN AND INJURY.
During the early stages of our journey, we had no idea what to do. Our search for a solution led us to the gym, where we tried to push our bodies beyond their limits and made them worse. We tried Pilates classes and quickly realized that although the exercises were helpful, it was challenging to find a good teacher. Someone who understands the anatomy of the human body and understands the science behind why and how you should exercise certain muscles, in order to relieve tension and mitigate injuries, is more valuable than a trainer who is good at doing trendy exercises but has no understanding of how the human body works. We searched and tried different physical treatments which were incredible to address our pain but after a few sessions we were left without any support so, after a while, we were experiencing the same pain again.
This is Incorpo’s why.
Each trainer at Incorpo Studio has identified the same problem – the lack of knowledge offered about how our bodies work, and also a lack of consistency in how we apply it.
We were doing physical therapy for a month or two after our injuries. We were feeling great and ready to get back into the swing of things so we STARTED going to the gym, TRIED yoga poses, or DID different activities that were previously possible for our bodies. Yet we found ourselves in more pain because our bodies weren’t completely healed.
THIS IS AN ENDLESS CIRCLE OF PAIN THAT MANY PEOPLE FALL INTO WITH LITTLE HOPE OF GETTING OUT OF

We were given a choice: We could choose fitness if we wanted to get in shape, or we could choose physical therapy if we wanted to become strong and healthy again.
We’ve come to realize that they are not mutually exclusive—that if you want to get stronger and healthier, you need to do both. In any stage you are at, physical therapy is necessary to diagnose where the pain is coming from, but then you need the right tools to support your recovery. You need therapeutic exercise & postural techniques to support your journey of restoring your body after an injury and preparing it for the next level. At the same time, you need fitness to build strength and endurance so that you can reach that new level of achievement.
This is the only way you can break free from pain, mitigate future injury, and achieve optimal health and performance.
